Bettie Allard YMCA
The new Bettie Allard YMCA will positively transform people’s lives. Scheduled to open January 2023, this new facility will provide Tri-Cities and Burquitlam residents with access to health, fitness and aquatics programs, family development programs, youth leadership experiences, and immigrant, employment and mental wellness services.
Aquatics
Our YMCA centres of community offer a number of aquatics programs for people of all ages to enjoy. These programs include aquatics fitness programs, swim lessons, parent and tot drop-in and lane swims.
Early Years Child Care
The YMCA Early Years Child Care program consists of over 25 centres located across the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Sunshine Coast. Featuring our Playing to Learn curriculum, our child care centres offer infant, toddler, 3-5 and preschool programs.
Chilliwack Leisure Centres
Operated by YMCA BC, the Cheam Leisure Centre, Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre, and Rotary Pool provide the community of Chilliwack with a wide range of drop-in health, fitness, and aquatics programs and services. These include aquatic centres, cardio areas, gymnasium and weight rooms.
Before and After School Care
Our YMCA Kids Club Before and After School Care program consists of over 40 locations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. This program provides school age children with a safe and engaging environment to spend their time before and after school.
Day Camp
With day camp program locations across the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Sunshine Coast, the YMCA provides kids ages 6 to 12 with healthy, positive camp experiences during the spring and summer breaks from school.
Overnight Camp and Outdoor Education
All overnight summer camp programs take place at YMCA Camp Elphinstone, which is located on B.C.'s picturesque Sunshine Coast. Each summer, thousands of campers connect with others and develop new skills through a wide range of overnight programs.

Child and Family Development

Youth Engagement
Youth Engagement is a top priority for the YMCA. We operate a number of youth programs, including mental wellness, mentorship and outdoor education.
Mental Wellness
The YMCA offers Y Mind–a free 7-week program for those experiencing mild-to-moderate anxiety and stress. Participants learn Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness skills which are evidence-based strategies to help manage anxiety. We offer three Y Mind versions for different age groups from teens ages 13+, to youth ages 18+, to adults 31+.

Our YMCA BC head office is home to a number of departments. These include Finance, Marketing and Communications, Human Resources and Recruitment, Payroll, and Health and Safety.

YMCA BC operates its health, fitness and aquatics programs at the following four centres of community in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley: Robert Lee YMCA (Vancouver); Langara Family YMCA (Vancouver); Tong Louie Family YMCA (Surrey); Chilliwack YMCA.
