Are donations tax deductible? Will I get a tax receipt?
Yes. YMCA BC is a registered Canadian charity # 803 976 075 RR000. We will send you a tax receipt for gifts greater than $25. If you become a monthly donor, we will provide you with a single, consolidated receipt at the end of the year for your tax return.
Does my donation stay in my community?
Yes. Money raised in a specific Y region will remain in the local community to address urgent needs and help low-income kids, families, seniors and adults in your area access YMCA facilities and programs.
Can I donate to a specific YMCA program or area of work?
Yes, there are many different areas of the Y's work that you can direct your support to. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss personalized giving options with you that align with your passions and interests. Please don't hesitate to reach out to giving@bc.ymca.ca.
