Moving Through Menopause: Feel stronger, supported, and more informed
Hot flashes? Shifting energy? Looking to stay strong through menopause?
You don’t have to figure it out on your own.
All too often, women experience menopause without the support or guidance they need—especially when it comes to fitness and strength. That’s why YMCA BC is offering Moving Through Menopause, a small-group training program designed to help you build strength, confidence, and community during this stage of life.
Led by expert personal trainers, the program combines targeted workouts with trusted menopause information to help you feel more empowered and in control of your health.

Convenient schedule. Big impact.
Now offered at the Bettie Allard YMCA in Coquitlam and the Robert Lee YMCA in downtown Vancouver.
You’ll meet with a small group of like-minded women twice a week for one-hour sessions, running from September 22 to November 3 (6 weeks). Each session is led by a YMCA-certified personal trainer who understands the unique challenges and changes that come with menopause. The format allows for personal attention and meaningful progress, no matter where you're starting from.
Strength training is one of the most important things we can do at this stage of life. Not only does it help with bone density, it also helps improve mobility and balance. Research also shows that improving your fitness can ease hot flashes, improve sleep, and boost your energy and mood. It’s more than just lifting weights—Moving Through Menopause supports women’s overall health and well-being. We modify the workouts so everyone can feel successful—whether you’re brand new to strength training or getting back into it.
